In general, during January, Florida will be sunny, with partial cloud and the odd day with rain and thunder. However, a daily average temperature of high 70F's, or mid 20's, should make all those winter economic blues go away!

What to do in Florida

As you know, this is one of the world's biggest tourist holiday attractions.

Surprisingly, Miami is the second largest city after Jacksonville. It's electric living lives up to its TV image. Miami South Beach Florida is a major tourist attraction with hundreds of hotels clubs and pub stretching along the shoreline.

Miami has a strong Spanish Latin influence with its very own Little Havana. Key attractions include, Miami Sea Aquarium and the Museum of Science and Space. North Beach is also a major tourist draw, but not on the same scale as South Beach.

Key West

Get to know Key West'shistory and architecture, by either renting a bicycle or joining one of the many walking tours. Also put aside some time to explore the nearby Keys of Key Largo.

Gone Fishing

Go fishing for day on a deep sea boat, and sit back and relax. Let the boat captain, do most of the hard work. You relax, and then jump out you chair, when the bait is taken. it is then you job to reel the fish in. You can then get your catch cooked at a local restaurant. However, do not get greedy, and let the captain have most of the catch.

Supplier Service: Budget service has always been excellent. Pleasant staff usually with limited English. Never had any problems about claims of damage to the car. If returning the car to the airport it is very difficult to find fuel nearby so fill the car before entering the expressway. Handover of the car at the airport can take some time so allow for this when calculating when to arrive for check in.
Car: I always hire pick up trucks. They usually have minor scratches and dents which are well documented on the condition report, however the interiors are always clean and the vehicles are in excellent mechanical condition

Overall Experience : The main reason for using them was the value for money. Having only paid an initial deposit the remainder of the cost paid at the airport desk was exactly as indicated without any hidden extras. The company uses firms with desks at the airport. This is better than trying to find a man with a clipboard. The staff at the desk spoke perfect English, which helped greatly.
